Pickup trucks are known for their sturdy cargo bed and ability for accommodating heavy payloads. The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV takes the functionality and practicality to the next level with the Multi-Flex Midgate®. See this pickup truck at Findlay Chevrolet and learn about the feature’s versatility.
How the Multi-Flex Midgate® Works
The Multi-Flex Midgate® is a set of doors that separate the rear seats from the cargo bed. The gate can be lowered easily by using the pair of release buttons on the lower bottom of the gate, making it easier to access your cargo or make adjustments to the freight. It also makes it possible to carry longer freight that may otherwise extend pass the bed.
The midgate’s dual doors consist of a longer 60% door and a smaller 40% door that allows for three configurations, described below.
Position One: 60% Open
You can open just the larger 60% door and fold the left rear seat. This is great for accompanying elongated and thin items, such as a kayak or timber beams.
Position Two: 100% Open
Open both the 60% and 40% doors. This is a good position for accommodating items that are long, wide, and relatively flat, such as a surfboard.
Position Three: Entire Midgate® Removal
The Midgate® comprises of a rear crossbar and rear glass that can also be removed for maximum cargo space. This makes nearly the entire rear seat section of the cabin an extension of the cargo bed.
